Championship Eludes Gunderson 03/01/2008 It was a slow, methodical featherweight championship matchup that was for the most part a ground fight. John 'Guns' Gunderson traded choke attempts with champion Ryan Schultz through five grueling rounds in which Schultz was able to retain better position and grind out a hard fought victory. Gunderson Loses in IFL Grand Prix. 11/03/2007 John “Quick Guns” Gunderson was caught in a guillotine choke in the second round after escaping a deep choke in the first.  Gunderson peppered Wagnney Fabiano with several combinations and was able to brush off multiple takedown attempts throughout the fight.  Gunderson staggered Fabiano several times but broke his right hand in the process.  This changed the course of the fight and took away one of Gunderson biggest weapons leading to a submission defeat.  Gunderson tips his hat to Fabiano, will heal up and rest, as he gets ready for the IFL’s 2008 season.  For more information log onto www.ifl.tv
